01 · What we collect

The information depends on how you use the studio.

We may collect contact details such as name and email address; enquiry and support messages; order, billing and delivery details; the original material and instructions you submit for a commission; and records needed to support an order or quality issue.

Our site and service providers may also process technical information, including IP address, browser and device data, security logs and cookie choices. Payment card information is processed by the payment provider selected at checkout; it should not be sent through our contact form.

02 · Why we use it

Each use has a clear operational purpose.

  • To answer enquiries and communicate about a commission.
  • To assess, prepare, proof, make, inspect, deliver and support an order.
  • To prevent fraud, misuse, chargebacks and security incidents.
  • To meet applicable tax, accounting, customs and legal obligations.
  • Where required, with your consent for optional marketing or non-essential cookie technologies.
03 · Your original mark

A customer file is not marketing material.

We treat drawings, handwriting, lettering, recipes and similar uploads as private working material. We use them only as reasonably needed to assess the request, prepare a production file, create or review a proof, make the approved piece, provide support, or remake it where appropriate.

  • We do not sell customer artwork or personal information.
  • We do not use customer uploads to train public AI models.
  • We do not publish a customer’s original mark, name or finished piece for marketing without separate permission.
  • If you submit a child’s drawing or another person’s material, you must have authority to share it.

Please do not upload irreplaceable originals, identity documents, payment details or personal information that is not needed for the requested work.

04 · Sharing & international processing

Access is limited to the people and providers needed to do the work.

We may share the minimum necessary information with production and fulfilment partners, delivery carriers, payment providers, hosting, security, email, customer-support and professional-service providers. They may process information in countries different from yours, including China, where MARKSAKE operates and fulfils commissions.

We do not authorise these providers to use customer information for their own independent marketing. Where international transfers are subject to specific legal requirements, we use appropriate safeguards available for the service and the transfer.

05 · Retention, security & cookies

We keep records for a reason, not indefinitely.

We retain enquiry, order and support information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud and meet legal, accounting or tax requirements. Customer files and prepared production files are retained only for the period reasonably needed to fulfil, support or, where appropriate, remake the commission. You may ask us to delete an original file when we no longer need to keep it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure. Essential cookies may be used for security, account and shopping functions. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should operate only where permitted and in line with applicable consent requirements.

06 · Your privacy choices

You can ask what we hold and how we use it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or a copy of personal information; to object to certain processing; or to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email info@marksake.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request relates to you.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. This notice is not directed to children; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required by law.
